Velvet revolution in Armenia 2018

It all started in 2018 when oligarchy in Armenia tried to again change the law for its own profit and extend their influence and time with power and political decision. Tension was visible, people felt like something have to be done. One day, students in capital Yerevan started to protest by siting down on a crosswalks. It spread like fire in dry forest. Soon after whole country mobilized itself. It was everywhere.

Opposition political party member Nikol Pashinyan, former journalist, decided to walk from one to another city as a protest, and went for his journey to join the gathering. In few weeks his person, became something like a character, symbol of a nation wide protest against old system and oligarchy.

Velvet revolution in this caucasian country took exactly One month, One week and One day and it changed the vision of normal people. Every armenian started to feel that even him/her has something to say and that they have power to change the course of their countries future. Armenia was paralyzed, nothing moved in or out, people protested everywhere, made barricades and stopped the traffic, republic square in capital Yerevan had everyday 200 thousand chanting souls. The atmosphere was electrifying. After week of life streaming live the dialogues from parliament, elections has taken place and Nikol Pashinyan has won the elections and became the new prime minister.
